Ordinance and Resolution Description for Website

These are ordinances and resolutions that have been passed or adopted by City Council and are currently in effect. The City of Portsmouth codifies the ordinances once per year, usually in December of each year.

The ordinances are emailed to The Walter Drane company who sorts, determines and codifies the appropriate ordinances.

All ordinances are kept on record in the City of Portsmouth’s City Clerk’s office.
