Appalachian Foothills Festival [of Literary Arts]
March 25 - March 26
The Appalachian Foothills Festival is a 2-day event that celebrates writing and storytelling in the tri-state region of Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
Come browse the book fair, watch a screening of Moundsville and ask the directors a few questions, join the poetry write-off, write a haiku, share you work at an open mic, attend a workshop, contribute to the People of Portsmouth video booth, watch the premiere of Peerless City, and hear Appalachian poet and current Poet Laureate of Ohio, Kari Gunter-Seymour deliver the keynote about coming from “a place so deep inside America, it can’t be seen.”
